Complex WordPress build for conservation charity Zoological Society of London.

During my time working for Brighton-based Neo Creative I built this site designed by their superb creative team.

There were a number of challenges to overcome to make the site management, using WordPress, as simple as possible for all editors and administrators. These include split pages, which show two sections in one; a publications, documents and weblinks management system; a large number of custom post types to make every aspect of the site easily editable, such as case studies, blogs, reports and statistics; and a number of custom taxonomy groups to make sure all information appeared in the relevant sections.

I began by creating the static HTML/CSS templates. This allowed the client to ‘sign off’ the design by viewing the site in their own web browser and not just images inside a PDF. My code completely matched the designs and so I was straight on to the WordPress build – one which was more complex than usual.
